LIVINGSTON SCHOLASTIC CHESS SUMMER CAMPS
The Livingston Scholastic Chess summer camp is a 5-day intensive program designed for kids that aspires to become professionals or are active at chess. Our main focus is to equip the active tournament player-kid with up-to-date knowledge and techniques needed to outplay opponents in a chess-world full of information that can either help or stall chess understanding and development The program also caters for beginners.
The camp focuses on 5 themes in chess with each day focusing on an important theme namely - opening, middlegame, endgame, tactics and strategy and a closed US Chess rated tournament on the final day. Every summer, we hold a camp in July and August in collaboration with the Do-Re-Mi School of Music & the Arts. We encourage kids between the ages of 7 - 14 and a rating of 500 - 1600 to register while beginners are also welcome but would be in a different section.
